Congregation Beth Yam Men’s Club 2025 – 2026:

A Mission of Engagement and Service

The mission of the Men’s Club is simple, yet impactful: To bring together the men of our congregation in ways that enrich both their personal and communal lives. Through a variety of programs and initiatives, the club provides a welcoming space for members to connect, share experiences, and contribute to the well-being of our synagogue and the broader community.

Building Community Through Service and Fellowship

Congregation Beth Yam Men’s Club is more than just a social organization. It is a dedicated group of men committed to strengthening our synagogue community, fostering friendships, and supporting charitable endeavors. As an integral part of Congregation Beth Yam, the Men’s Club offers opportunities for camaraderie and giving back—all while embracing the values of Jewish life.

The Men’s Club is an affiliate organization of Congregation Beth Yam. Membership is open to all adult male members of the Congregation. The Men’s Club hosts a diverse range of activities designed to engage its members and support Congregation Beth Yam, “Our House By the Sea.” Through a variety of programs and initiatives, the club provides a welcoming space for members to connect, share experiences, and contribute to the well-being of our synagogue and the broader community.

We meet monthly (except during the summer) at various restaurants on and off the island for camaraderie and conversation and organize a monthly “Dine Around” for the men and women of our congregation.  Additionally, the club provides assistance organizing holiday celebrations and participates in synagogue-wide events, helping to bring the synagogue together in meaningful ways.

The Men’s Club is very proud of the many mitzvot we do for the synagogue. We support the Friends Campaign and the General Music Fund. This past spring, we once again hosted a very successful golf tournament in support of the Men’s Club and Congregation Beth Yam.

Working with our dedicated Security and Ritual Committee members, we provide ushers for the High Holiday services, memorials and other special events.  Additionally, this year, the Men’s Club rolled up their sleeves and, with garden tools in hand, assisted with a spring clean-up of our grounds and landscaping!
