Congregation Beth Yam was founded by people relocating both on a full-time and part-time basis to Hilton Head and the surrounding Southern Beaufort County areas. From its inception, it reached out to families with children whose professional careers steered them toward the Lowcountry and to retirees who were drawn to the beaches, golf and tennis venues and to the charm and joy of southern living. From its very humble beginnings, as evidenced by its depth and breadth of programs and services offered, Congregation Beth Yam recognizes the importance of supporting one’s Jewish identity and the need to be part of a Jewish Community regardless of residential status.

To meet the needs of our congregants and prospective congregants, Congregation Beth Yam offers several membership options: Resident Member, Resident Single Member, and Affiliate.
