WELCOME to Congregation Beth Yam! We are pleased that you are considering joining our synagogue.  I hope you have had the opportunity to scroll and stroll through the various sections of this website to learn how Congregation Beth Yam, “Our House by the Sea” can serve your needs as both your synagogue and local Jewish community.

OUR FOUNDING

Congregation Beth Yam was founded by families and retirees (in various phases of retirement) relocating to Hilton Head and the surrounding Southern Beaufort County areas. Regardless of whether drawn to the area by profession, family, the beaches, golf and tennis venues or by the sheer charm and joy of southern living, each family had a need to maintain one’s Jewish identity--regardless of level of observance or residential status. Congregation Beth Yam was founded to provide such a welcoming, inclusive, egalitarian, inter-faith and multi-generational Reform Synagogue

So, please join us! We extend an invitation to you and your family to become members of Congregation Beth Yam. To meet the needs of our members and prospective members, the synagogue offers several membership options: Resident Member, Resident Single Member, and Affiliate.
